Japanese Language A1 and A2 Course
Course Overview
This course is designed for beginners who wish to learn basic Japanese for everyday communication. Covering A1 and A2 levels of the CEFR, the course focuses on developing fundamental skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It also introduces learners to essential aspects of Japanese culture and etiquette.
A1 Level – Beginner
Goal: Understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at satisfying simple needs.
Learning Outcomes:

Introduce yourself and others

Ask and answer simple questions (e.g., about name, age, nationality)

Understand basic greetings, numbers, days, and time

Read and write basic hiragana and katakana

Engage in simple conversations using basic grammar patterns
A2 Level – Elementary
Goal: Understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance.
Learning Outcomes:

Handle simple daily conversations (e.g., shopping, ordering food, asking directions)

Express likes/dislikes, preferences, and routines

Read and write simple texts using hiragana, katakana, and basic kanji

Understand common grammar structures (e.g., past tense, adjectives, particles)

Gain confidence in interacting in familiar social situations

Qualifications and Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- At least High School graduate or College Graduate
- Copy of NSO Certificate/ Marriage Certificate, if married
- Certified True Copy of Transcript of Records or Form 137
- Photo ID 4 pieces each of 1x1, 2x2, and passport-sized with white background, collared shirt and name tag
- With good moral character
- Can communicate in both oral and written
